Publication date: 29.04.2024

The HeroCar charity project handed over a unique NATO-type watercraft to the balance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to increase the maneuverability of Ukrainian marines on the front line.

This strategic gift was accepted by the commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Volodymyr KARPENKO, during a working meeting with the director of the Ruslan SHOSTAK Charitable Foundation Yevgenia BUT. On the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he presented honorary certificates and thanks to the HeroiSar project and the Ruslan SHOSTAK Charitable Fund, first of all noting the significant contribution of the founder of the Fund to the improvement of the logistical support of the Ukrainian army.

Volodymyr KARPENKO also emphasized the importance of the HeroCar project, which aims to collect donations for the further purchase of SsangYong Actyon Sports pickups. These cars are now effectively used in the hottest areas of the front for the work of mobile fire groups and reconnaissance, delivery of cargo and evacuation of the wounded, launch of drones and protection of the sky with light air defense systems. Unlike other charitable missions, in addition to the transfer of requested cars, this one provides support through guaranteed maintenance and repair of each transferred unit of equipment. Brigadier General Volodymyr KARPENKO left his autographs on the toy models of the mentioned pickups, which will be sold during special auctions to raise funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, Volodymyr KARPENKO noted that the front now badly needs a buggy and a motorcycle.

"It is at the tactical level that today the russian occupiers have an advantage in motor vehicles, and due to this, greater maneuverability and mobility during assaults, for example landings, bypassing minefields or engineering barriers."

– noted the commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
